Spring has sprung in southern Indiana
At just after 5am this morning I am awakened to the sound of Madison's tornado sirens going off, along with pouring rain and thunder. Now, I should say that I wasn't too worried, cause even though they are called tornado sirens, the city uses them for severe storms, too, so usually when they come on, that's all it is. I click on the tv and luckily the channel that it was on came up immediately with a radar of our county and the weather lady says that the hooked shape of the storm indicates that there is a good chance a tornado is forming, just south of Madison. That's when the adrenaline kicks in. I got up immediately, wake up my mom and we grab the cat and get into the basement. For some reason, my dad was already awake and downstairs, but didn't know we were under a tornado warning. Cutting to the point, I don't think a tornado actually did form or at least it didn't touchdown, but I just wanted to let you know about this, 'cause it means that spring is officially here. Although, considering this winter, this isn't really the first tornado weather we've had this year. But anyway, that's Tornado Alley for ya.
Another sure sign of spring is the ginormous amount of basketball that is taking place. That's right folks, it's time once again for March Madness. Now, I know we are all seperated by various distances, and some folks may not be able to watch the Madness on tv (Sarah?), but you all are up to filling out a bracket, right? Obviously, we wouldn't be playing for money, but bragging rights are definitely on the table. So, for those of you interested (and that should be all of you!) I'm going to post a bracket on here after they draw tonight. I'm going to try to make it one that can be edited on the computer so you can just post it or email it to me or whatever. And they have to be filled out by Thursday, cause that's when the first round starts. So, keep it tuned to the 695 thought pad for your chance to win!
Gotta go watch the draw now, start thinking about last year's picks!

I certainly can't watch it, but I'm IN! Is there a website devoted to following the teams? I'd like to be pseudo-educated before I slap 'em down on paper this year ;)
